After extensive renovation in 2020, we welcome the new year with a new team, new venue and new menu. Headed by our executive chef Jake Kowalewski, Hallams is focused on celebrating the finest in seasonal Tasmanian produce, the recent renovations has seen the addition of private dining, a glorious weatherproof deck to be enjoyed all year round, and host of other improvements ensuring this waterfront beauty is fit to enjoy for decades to come. Our story so far
In late 2019, locally owned Norton Hospitality Group saw an opportunity to value the historic reputation of the business built up over 26 years by the Hallam Family. After enjoying what felt like only a few weeks of ownership, Covid-19 arrived and presented its own raft of challenges. Whilst the difficult decision was made to close the doors temporarily the team pressed forward with its plans to expand the existing facilities to include additional alfresco dining areas and to take the opportunity to give this lovely building a refresh.
